Silken Dark Chocolate Mint Smoothie

This chocolatey, refreshing mint smoothie is perfect for any day of the week. Adding tofu into your smoothie creates a natural, fluffy texture for your drink! (Photo: Jackie Newgent)



  • 1 portion Ripe Banana
  • 5 oz Silken Tofu, Organic
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 2 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 3 pieces Ice Cubes
  • 6 leaf fresh mint leaves


1 Peel and slice the banana. Freeze banana slices in a single layer on a parchment paper–lined tray, cover, and freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight
2 Add the frozen banana slices, tofu, almond milk, cocoa powder, extracts, ice cubes, and fresh mint leaves to a blender. Cover and blend on high speed until well pureed.
3 Pour into chilled glasses, garnish with the mint sprigs, and serve.
